With this being said, it’s no wonder that so many companies hire the services of individuals who write product reviews for them, even if the company is not paying the reviewer.

While a simple review may provide the most basic information on a product or service being offered, comprehensive reviews cover an entire spectrum of information. For example, a comprehensive review may include an overview of the product or service, a review of the product or service’s features and benefits, a detailed description of each feature or benefit, a summary of the pros and cons of the product or service, a comparison of similar products or services offered by the same vendor, and a complete list of references where readers can learn more about the product.

While not every company out there will pay someone to write comprehensive reviews of their products and services, many companies still have a need for product review jobs been written in the past. These reviews are also commonly referred to as product catalog reviews, because they generally include information on everything a consumer could ever need to know about a product or service, but are typically written in the form of a catalog or product brochure. The catalog or brochure typically includes a description of the product, the features and benefits, the pros and cons of the product, the customer service options available, and the price.

In addition to the detailed descriptions and comparisons available in most catalogs, most products and services have detailed descriptions and pictures as well. When writing a product catalog review, it’s important to keep the reader’s attention on the item for the whole text, which allows you to use images to make the reader’s mind work and get the reader’s full attention. This is called image-based copywriting, and it’s a critical skill that all successful writers should master.

So whether you’re looking for an easy way to start your own business or are simply looking for a means to supplement your current income, take some time to look into the opportunities that exist for getting product catalog reviews written for you. And while it’s true that you won’t be paid to write reviews, if you’re good at what you do, it will pay off for you in the long run!
